Russell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 from Brandeis University with concentrations in Politics and History. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law, where he held the position of Notes and Comments Editor for the Roger Williams University Law Review.

Admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Supreme Court of New Jersey, the New York State Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Russell focuses his practice on elder law, estate planning, probate, and real estate law.

Russell is also a very active member of the Berks County and state-wide Pennsylvania communities. He is a member the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, both the Pennsylvania and Berks County Bar Associations, the Berks County Orphans Court Rules Committee, the Small Business Resource Center, and the Real Property, Probate & Trusts Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He also holds various leadership roles, including Board Member of the Berks County Estate Planning Council and the Reading Science Center, Chair of the Governance Committee of Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom, and Co-Chair of the Probate and Trust Law Legislative Committee of the Real Property, Probate & Trusts Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Russell has an extensive speaking engagement history, covering legal topics essential to businesses and individuals alike. He is regularly invited to speak on topics such as estate planning, Medicaid planning, trust planning, and real estate matters, to name a few. Past notable engagements include presenting with the Berks County Bar Association on Guardianship, presenting with the Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce on estate planning for business owners, and speaking for the Small Business Resource Center’s “Tune-Up Tuesday” program. Russell has also taught to a national audience of attorneys continuing their legal education on the topic of Medicaid planning, through Strafford Webinars.

Residing in Berks County with his wife and children, Russell spends most of his free time supporting his children at sporting events and at other activities they take part in. Mr. Farbiarz also enjoys vacationing to the beaches of North Carolina, reading, and watching baseball (Go Mets!).
