Alexa S. Antanavage is a partner at Antanavage Farbiarz, PLLC, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, estate administration, and Orphans’ Court litigation. Her legal experience is broad and well-rounded. Before joining Antanavage Farbiarz, PLLC, Ms. Antanavage practiced civil litigation at a mid-sized Berks County law firm, where she concentrated on commercial and real estate litigation, insurance defense, and creditor’s rights, with a particular focus on mortgage foreclosure. She also served as a law clerk for a judge of the Berks County Court of Common Pleas and later as an Assistant County Solicitor, handling matters related to elections and the Right to Know Law.

A Berks County native and Hamburg Area High School graduate, Ms. Antanavage earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Bryn Mawr College and her Juris Doctor from the Roger Williams University School of Law, where she received the Association for Public Interest Law Summer Stipend. During law school, she interned with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and the Roger Williams University School of Law Pro Bono Collaborative. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Berks Core Program (2010).

Ms. Antanavage is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.

Actively involved in the legal community, she is a member of the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, where she serves on the Women in the Profession Committee. She is also a director of the Berks County Bar Association, a former member of its Young Lawyers’ Section, and a former chair of the Law Day Committee.

Beyond her legal work, Ms. Antanavage is deeply engaged in community service throughout Berks County. She has supported numerous local organizations, including Mary’s Shelter (former board member and Secretary), the Central Pennsylvania Division of the March of Dimes (former board member and 2010 March for Babies chair), the Law Foundation of Berks County (former trustee), GRCA Women2Women (former Advisory Council member), Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (former Take the Lead Committee member), the Reading Theater Project (board member), and the Junior League of Reading (Advocacy and Member Conduct Review Committee member).

Ms. Antanavage has also served as a conciliator for the Berks County Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Diversion Program and is qualified to sit as an arbitrator in the Berks County Court of Common Pleas.
